Struggling with gender dysphoria - can't find english speaking counsellor in Bulgaria

I'm 29 years old and I'm really being hit hard by gender dysphoria. Furthermore, finding a counsellor who speaks English and understands autism is proving to be a huge challenge. If anyone could help me find any resources or anything, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

  • Sadly, the psychs I received a response from straight up rejected me. The woman I spoke to spoke English but decided she can't do consultations in English for some reason. Even more frustrating was that when I first brought it up, she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. "I'm calling to inquire about your services" "What services? I don't know what you mean"

honestly feeling pretty broken right now

  • I'm so sorry that the consultation was so awful, not only disappointing but rude and unhelpful. You really deserve better. Maybe try branch out and see if someone more internationally might be able to be more suitable for you?

Maybe there's a way to find groups of people who might know of a better recommendation? Like a group for gender diverse people? Someone might know a good counsellor?

Try not to let it get you down, these things are particularly hard for autistic folk as we ruminate a lot. Try do some things that make you feel good about yourself, and have good quality you time.

Take care and be gentle with yourself.
