I have returned to work and am still waiting for my final fit note. I have tried researching how long I should wait and mostly it says it may take 5 days or a little longer. My HR have been asking when they will get it, as it is now 5 weeks. I have been told it was being chased, then recently no replies. They did send a message a few months ago to say they were doing staff training, so please bear with them if we have to wait a little longer. I am now thinking, do I just keep telling work I am still waiting, or am I going to have to go over and ask. I don't really want to go over there.
I was wondering if anyone else has had to wait more than 5 days and if so, how long. I understand it is not high priority, but not sure what would be acceptable. I do find not knowing things difficult. I have asked for a reason as that is easier to cope with, but they haven't replied.
