Worried about elections

I'm really worried about what will happen if Reform get elected in the Sennedd, they want so many things that will have a huge negative impact on people like me. I'm not sure I'd want to carry on living in Wales if that happened, it was bad enough after Brexit, but I'm not sure I feel safe living anywhere.

  • There’s no question that it’s an alarming thought that Reform could get significant power in any part of the uk. I can totally understand your concerns - I’m sorry that this is so unsettling for you at the moment. Politics is a mess right now. I’ve voted Labour all my life but I don’t feel I can vote for them anymore. The way I try to keep myself in a reasonably positive state now is to do my best not to think too much about the future. If I can’t do anything to change it then there’s no point in dwelling on it really. I practice mindfulness, living in the present moment as much as I can. I don’t watch too much News either - because I used to watch a lot of News content and Politics programmes on tv and radio - and it just got too depressing in recent years. It helps me to get less preoccupied with what’s happening politically. I watch as much as I need to be informed on the essentials, but not so much that it starts to impact on my mental health and well being.

  • I disagree, to say there’s no question gives off a vibe you think a majority don’t want them and yet they do.  To take an objective stand that there simply NO question is a very person way of approaching things.  Maybe just maybe sometimes think what other people may want and feel, [Content has been removed by a moderator because it did not follow our community rules.]
