Hi there, my child has recently been diagnosed with ASD at 7 years old. We haven’t really spoken about this whilst going through the assessment period. Now we have a formal diagnosis, I am at a loss of how to explain this. I want to get it right, with reasurrance and knowledge but not to overwhelm them. Any advice/ recommendations of books we can use would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
