Autism and Eating Disorders

Hi all,

I’m just wondering if anyone also has an eating disorder alongside autism? I’m 43 and have struggled with anorexia off and on since I was 14. I relapsed nearly 4 years ago and am attempting recovery again and am looking for supportive individuals who just ‘get it’.

  • Hi I have been diagnosed with autism and also anorexia and had treatment for it in eating disorder units. There is a website called the Peace patthway aimed at people who endure both conditions. I was in inpatient for three years 2025-2018 for anorexia and then on a CTO from 2018 to 2022 and then I got worse and nearly lost my life in 2023, but I am doing better today. I am 52 and my ed started at 14.
