Reflexology

I've just had a reflexology treatment and I feel wonderful, places that I didn't know were hurting and holding tension have stopped hurting and relaxed, my shoulders are about 3-4 inches lower than they were this morning. I know this treatment will work through my body fully over the next few days and I hope to have a fairly pain free xmas.

It's a strange thing having your feet rubbed and prodded and feeling your jaw or neck move and relax, you don't know what part of the body the part of the foot they're working on relates too, but you can feel it.

  • That’s great that it works so well for you.

Years ago I did a short leisure course on reflexology at the local ‘tech’. Looking back, I don’t know how I did it as I hate people’s feet!

  • That sounds wonderful - i would love to try that. I’m having my tooth out tomorrow and I’m so scared - and my whole body feels like a ball of tension right now. I’ve never had reflexology. In truth nothing I’ve ever tried has really been very effective at helping my anxiety when it’s bad. Alcohol helps a bit - but annoyingly you apparently can’t drink after a surgical extraction. I was watching a programme the other night about that actor from friends taking ketamine. I’d never dare take anything like that (ironically I’m too anxious about drugs to take drugs to help with my anxiety!) !but I can totally see why people get so desperate that they’ll try anything. I get so frustrated with myself that ordinary aspects of life can feel totally unbearable and unmanageable for me.
