Hi

Hi I decided to join an online community as I'm autistic and have very little social contact. I was part of a Facebook group which was nice but it's gone now.

I like learning new things and spend a lot of time on YouTube trying to learn fun new stuff. I don't really go out and I have no friends, I'm always way too anxious but I find enjoyment in my hobbies which include:

  • Singing
  • Music
  • Reading
  • Collecting Funko Pops
  • Gaming
  • Baking
  • Writing

Those are the things I enjoy most.

My special interest is films. I love films and find the creative process of them very interesting. I like watching and learning about the behind the scenes, the commentary, the special effects, everything basically lol!

I enjoy my life, I like my interests but I'm very lonely and isolated and though it's kinda the norm now it does upset me a bit.

I'm in a constant burnout since my sister died in 2020 and I find myself easily exhausted. I mention this just in case you have any tips on how to get through the burnout as at present it's very debilitating.

Sorry if I said too much here..I tend to ramble a bit. Just wanted to introduce myself.

Snookums.

  • Fallout 4 has better gun play than 3 but 3 and new vegas had better worlds and story although I love diamond city as I like the Red Sox(dunno why I gravitated to that or infact any team as a non American but there we go)

  • Hi and welcome to the community.

I enjoy reading sci-fi, time travel, future dystopian, thriller and historical novels. I also enjoy gaming and my favourites are Sims 4, Fallout 4, Assassins creed odyssey, origins & Valhalla, Hogwarts Legacy & BioShock 1&2.

My favourite movies are sci-fi & comedy, such as men in black, independence day, Ghostbusters, and most films with Will Ferrell in.

  • Hello Snookums! Welcome to the community! Don’t worry you haven’t rambled at all!

I’m very sorry to hear about your sister back in 2020. Losing someone close to you can be super upsetting. With burnouts, the best thing is just to chill and do what you normally like to do. Also look after and care for yourself.

I am also a fan of gaming and I also enjoy films. I’m more into cartoon films personally but I enjoy some action and adventure films too. My fave games are anything to do with Yoshi, Kirby or Mario but the list can go on! Also love the Simpsons hit and run! What films and games do you enjoy?

I can understand how hard it is to feel lonely, I also don’t have any friends and it can be very lonely, that’s when I use that time to do what I enjoy. I’ve always found if I make friends they end up turning against me and become bullies. I also tried to work at some point but then I got left out by everyone there and then I was taken upstairs so no one else could see me. Like being honest gets taken advantage of.

I have you enjoy your time here

  • Hi and welcome, ! I'm very sorry about your sister, you must miss her. There have been plenty of burnout-related threads on here recently. I think the top tip is to take your resting very seriously. Feel free to start new threads on the topic, though, as everyone's experience is different.

I'm partial to a good film myself, too. Back in the day, I got the extended DVD box sets of the LoTR films and watched every single behind-the-scenes special and listened to every commentary. I felt like I could walk out and start shooting my own film after that. So much fascinating information. It's something I miss in these days of streaming services. What are your favourites?
