I feel totally uninspired

It's august and I hate august, for me it's one of the most depressing months, I'm covered in gnat bites, I can't sleep and it's hot, I'm fed up with summer foods and long for the heartier foods of autumn and winter that I couldn't possibly face in this weather.

I'm also missing shops, I just want to wander about and have some ideas for possibilities, theres a definate lack of possibilities. I still need new clothes and shoes and theres little point in buying any summer stuff now as I won't need it in a month or so, also shops ahve started selling jumpers. Not anything I'd wear as I don't see the point of a jumper that would barely cover my boobs and leave the rest of me cold and exposed. I can't get the bra's that fit me comfortabley anymore either, or not unless I send off for them.

All in all I'm fed up!

  • Winter is where my mood drops, I can’t pinpoint why but I figured I had that seasonal effective disorder? The warm sunlight on my face feels very healing.

  • I think moods are related to hormones.  Wikipedia lists 64 for humans.

The system for regulating these is complicated and interlinked. It is controlled by the nervous system.

Given the sensory, perception and processing differences and brain differences in autism, it is likely the hormone levels are going to be either different or more or less likely to change.

I suspected as much, so in this current episode I tested some a couple of months ago and found them outside normal ranges. I'm having a blood test tomorrow to look into it more, although I am starting to feel better so I am not sure what it will show, we'll see.

I think diet and vitamins influence the whole system too, as does sleep and exercise.

So I reckon trying to get all the hormones in a normal range is a good thing for overall happiness. It is not easy to monitor them all in real time though which is annoying.

I think the winter stuff is related to vitamin D and lack of sunlight, the summer stuff to overstimulation from bright light, more noise, heat and poorer sleeping.
