Can this autistic guy get some help and advice please? 111 / 999 - no luck!

Hello,

I am beyond beleif, as many will probably relate I find it hard to use the phone to make telephone calls. Today I had to call 999, as the 111 triage said I needed to call 999, so I called 999 and was told to call 111. Well its 10 minutes away from the 9 hour mark for a clinician to call me back, this is after my GP wanted me to call 999 on Mon, Tues and Weds, in fact he watched me as I called 999 on wednesday, but like the nats system being down for air trafic control, the 999 operator could not put me through. I have a head injury, once from over a week a go and another 2 from last Sunday, I thought I was doing OK, but today I am so not good. I do have a support worker, but he dont work evenings, weekends or tuesdays, thursday and friday.  I should add I do have complex mental health and am a vulnerable adult too.

Was supposed to be getting a social worker, been told to call 999 when things are bad and a life might be at a risk, im struggling.. I do not know what else to do.

In the end I resorted to telling the police, as I just do not know whats real and what I need to do.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am happy to explain more about my confirmed diagnoses etc but dont want to trigger anyone. So please feel welcome to message.

  • Dear CornishTographer1,

Well done for reaching out to 111 and 999, I am sorry to hear about the difficulties you are currently facing.

I can see you've already had a good response, I would also advise seeking help at A&E if you can. It is important to keep reaching out for support if your health is at risk.

    Best wishes,
