Is there anyone who's had a bipolar diagnosis as well as autism ? I do but now I've discovered I'm autisic I'm doubting the bipolar diagnosis as alot of symptoms can overlap . Any advice would be very much appreciated thanks for reading.

I have both diagnoses. I'm sure they're both right for me though. The episodic and extreme nature of my mood fluctuations, together with psychosis - hallucinations and delusions fit bipolar. There are sometimes years when I have no symptoms. Then there's the fact that the meds seem to work which implies a psychotic illness not just a neurodivergent condition. A psychiatrist should be able to unpick the situation. If you have episodes when things are worse/better try timing appointments to coincide.
also all the medicine , Abilify , Risperidone made me super Depressed and constantly have Migraines that caused me to be zombified , I am off all meds , They have me on gabapentin for Anxiety and it helped a lot But i haven't refilled it Since i smoke *insert Leaf emoji*
According to the NAS:
"We do not know how many autistic people have bipolar disorder. Some studies estimate between 5 and 7%, compared with an estimated rate of 1% in the general population. More research is needed."
