I'm lonely.

Hey. I feel hopelessness. I'm so lonely. Some of you might know my wife left me last year after over a decade together and the same week my dad died too.

Although I was with my ex for over a decade. Like then I am so lonely now too.

Just hope I meet someone before I get into such a depressive mood that I end up taking.my own life.

It's sad when people are nice to me I just cry.

Thanks for reading... advice ??

  • It's difficult to give advice as I don't know the details of your situation - are you working? Do you have family you are in contact with? If there is someone in your life who seems sympathetic to you, perhaps you could try getting together for a chat? If not, you will have to try to meet people who you can connect with. I know that's easier said than done, but if you don't try you'll never have a chance to not be lonely.

Maybe you could try to find groups in your local area to join that do things which interest you? It's sometimes easier to get to know people when you are doing things you enjoy together, rather than just sitting facing each other in a bar or cafe wondering what to talk about.

Try getting into a routine and setting yourself small targets, and build in treats to your.routine such as reading a book, having a favourite meal or snack, watching a movie, whatever you would look forward to. And keep talking to us here on the forum - I hope you find it supportive.
