I can't rid this feeling. I want to kill myself. I hate living on a knifes edge trying to understand life and people. Friendships etc. Ive had enough. 

Update. Through the support here my mood is lifting that was scary tho. I do think.i need to be in a mental health ward tho..??

Thank you for sharing your experience, we understand from your post that you are currently going through a difficult time. It is good that you’ve let us know what’s happening. Many people have similar thoughts when coping with so much and we hope you’re okay.    

    If you are unable to cope with the distress or despair, it’s very important to tell someone about your feelings or thoughts of suicide. Call your GP and make an urgent appointment. Your GP can make sure you get appropriate help and support .

  • Sorry. What? I can't begin to understand that. I'm happy to stay. However I'm tired if asking. Tired of reaching out. There's nothing more I can say or do. I appreciate the help here however. I need some respite. If I had the chance I'd like to go into hospital where I dont feel a danger to myself. Where there's a sense of calm and my meds are not on hand 247 nor items that i can hurt myself with. I want to get better but i cant where i am currently.

    I am sorry to hear you are thinking of leaving the forum.

    We have heard you; as you described that (particularly inside the last year, or so): you have been facing numerous, daunting, competing, challenges in life.  I don't underestimate what effort it takes to reach out to the forum.

    Often, I suspect one of the reasons that we have heard and tried to respond your voice (as best we are able) is: that many of us here are from the age groups / decades with / ahead of you (therefore, many of us will have likely been navigating our own personal versions of numerous related challenges too - with little explanation, we can all too readily identify with the threads of management of diverse and competing priorities of life's challenges).

    ...N.B. we are still here, and I think many of us would admit to still be continually learning from one another: new ways to navigate life - and also learning to celebrate the various small wins in our respective lives - probably in no small measure due to access to the peer support offered to us from fellow Neurodivergent people - whom we encounter along our ongoing journeys.  I also believe this is probably why we all so genuinely look forward to welcoming new forum members (as we understand it is our very variety and diversity of membership which strengthens our resourcefulness).

    In case you might have been worrying about it, in the clearer light of daytime, I thought it important to say: that I really don't think it likely for anyone here to have been judging you for any of your shared struggles aired on the forum.

    You have indicated you wish to close your forum account - that is of course a choice or decision only you can settle.  If you would prefer to leave the community forum, I wish you well, and would hope that in the future: you might consider re-joining (when the time were to feel right for where you find yourself in life, further along your journey).

    Maybe, another option (instead of closing your account) would be for you to email

    ...requesting their assistance, explaining what has been happening and asking for their help with editing or deleting posts / replies / threads / profile comments etc. - with which you perhaps now no longer feel suitably safeguarded and comfortable. 

    With effectively a "freshly cleaned slate" as it were; then perhaps you might once again feel comfortable and welcome to remain on the community forum, maybe finding some fellowship and support by using it more as a peer support mechanism - as we all do so?

    Unfortunately, it is important to recognise that the NAS charity website and our peer support community forum are both unable to operate as an urgent help service - hence, the regular signpost to other more appropriate services:

    Over recent days I have become concerned that maybe you had not perhaps previously realised about the availability and role of our forum Moderators.  I believe it fair to summarise: our Moderation Team operate a weekday (UK office hours) service.  Primarily, to monitor that posts / replies comply with our published forum rules.  Also, if they become aware of someone struggling to navigate the relevant published guidance available on the NAS website content - they will try to signpost the person accordingly.
