Hi I had a disciplinary at work and my employer got in touch with the private clinic I had my ASD assessment with and asked them would Asd affect your actions in work . Something don’t seem right . Did they provide information to my employer of my report or they did a generalised report on asd .  My wife said that can’t make a comment with out seeing me as everyone on the spectrum is different . 
my employer is friends with the owner of the company . Any thoughts any one

    If this was done without your explicit approval then it could be a breach of doctor patient confidentiality.

    I would write to the clinic and ask if they responded to a request from your emoloyer, what information was disclosed and under what approval was this authorised.

    Make sure it is all in writing - also write to your employer and ask for confirmation that they have done this. Someone must have told you so get them on record and keep copies of correspondence at home - you may have grounds to sue both parties so gather the info and consult an employment lawyer once you have it. You can normally get an initial consult affordably to work out if you have a case.

    Thanks my employer paid for therapy with the same place I paid for an ASD assessment but because I wouldnt give my employer a copy of the assessment just the certificate they must of shared my information or given a generalised opinion of my ASD with out interviewing me which can not be right as everyone is different .  .
