Depression and anxiety treatment

I've struggled with low mood and anxiety for as long as I care to remember, I've tried various medications and talking treatments to no avail. Apparently I am treatment resistant or so they say, which is fun (not).

Has anyone tried something like tDCS or vagus nerve stimulation? I've read about them but I am very cynical when it comes to medical claims online.

  • I would love to try that as I have had severe and enduring depression and anxiety most of my life. 

    I’m not that familiar with that specific treatment’s efficacy, but I have seen information about some form of brain stimulation to treat depression.

    i believe the NHS had run trials on patients who had undergone ECT unsuccessfully. I don’t think it’s generally available on the NHS.

    I've just started trying to get into a medical study on trd. I'm currently being assessed to see if I'm suitable.

    I'm maybe foolishly pinning my hopes on being selected as I'm really struggling with it at the moment.
