Feeling particularly autistic today

Do you ever have days when you feel more autistic than normal? I do and I'm having one today, I feel emotionally wobbly and feel like I can't do anything, but odlly I don't feel brain foggy, just like, everything is too much effort is too scary and pretty pointless as it will all go wrong.

  • I noticed this about myself today too. It started off badly when I was angry at my youngest daughter for not listening and getting ready for school, while I was also trying to sort out 3 other things at once - which I said sorry for and she forgave me, but I never forget these things and I felt terrible about myself the whole day. Then I had a rubbish day at work, topped off with an office opening party at the end of the day where I had to mingle and make small talk with various people, feeling completely lost doing so and hoping no-one noticed I hadn't got a clue what I was doing.

Sometimes it just feels like I have to accommodate everyone else but it doesn't work the other way around. Deep down I know that isn't really true, my wife is very good to me, but I'm in a mood I cannot shake off today.
