A diagnosis for my 2 year old

Hi my name is rosemary I have a 2 year old daughter and she showing traits of autism I already have a 5 year old who is autistic

My 2 year old is

hand flapping when she's sad or just randomly

Doesn't like socks

Doesn't really social with her peers mainly teachers or just adults in general

She repeats what you say

She does this side eye thing when either looking at you or other people or anything in her sight I've been told is a symtom of autism but not sure because her eyesight is perfect so not sure why she does she's been doing since birth

Doesn't like too much touch

Always like jumping can't really keep still

Would rather throw her toys around

I have been told to refer her to one of the right to choose providers which I have done I have found 1 provider who will diagnose her

I wondering am I doing the right thing for my daughter or is this normal for a child of her age

Can everybody be nice in the comments please it took alot of courage to write this post because everyone I speak to about this topic is just rude and it upsets to appoint I just bring up but I'm hoping I could get some advice and encouraging words and messages from this post

I'm just a mama trying to seek advice for her bubba

Thank you God bless Raised hands

  • If you already have one, forge ahead! You know your daughter best.

Who else in the family is Autistic, ADHD, dyslexic or somewhere on the 'spectrum'? Many of us who are older now might not have been diagnosed. But we relate.

Many people have a strange disdain over their misperceptions of Autism. Hopefully that will change.
