Hi,

I've just been prescribed quetiapine XR 50mg which I'm due to start taking next week when my blood test comes back.

I have sleep and anxiety issues, none of the standard treatments had any effect so the next step has been taken.

Do any of you have any experience of this medication and it's positive effects/unpleasant side effects?

    I took quetiapine and found no side effects with it other than tiredness and a little dizziness, it did help me sleep though, so it wasn't so bad. 

    I know it's different for everyone though.

    But I wasn't on it for long, my medical team moved me on to Olanzapine pretty soon after which did bring more side effects. But it stopped my mental health problems (voices etc).

    Sleep would definitely be a positive.
