Like due to how bad it was I have flashbacks and I’m being referred to CAHMS
I understand. I was in a mainstream school in the past, but luckily managed to change school after Year 9 with help of my family and support workers due to being bullied by both students and teachers. At that time, nobody probably knew about autism burnout, but that’s what I ended up having whilst in mainstream from Yr8-Y9. I was diagnosed with autism at aged 15 once I’ve started special school, which did take most of the time for me to recover aside from the rocky starts.
