I my experience in mainstream school was hell

Like due to how bad it was I have flashbacks and I’m being referred to CAHMS

  • I understand. I was in a mainstream school in the past, but luckily managed to change school after Year 9 with help of my family and support workers due to being bullied by both students and teachers. At that time, nobody probably knew about autism burnout, but that’s what I ended up having whilst in mainstream from Yr8-Y9. I was diagnosed with autism at aged 15 once I’ve started special school, which did take most of the time for me to recover aside from the rocky starts.

My apologies for the long replySweat smile, it’s my first time to post something online and I’m still a bit nervous. But I’ll be happy if it helps reassure others that they are not alone.
