Ending therapy

I’ve been in therapy for a good chunk of this year but I only have two sessions left then it will end, and I’m feeling a little sad and anxious about it.

I think there’s a lot of collective experience of therapy on this forum so I’d be interested to hear your experiences of ending it and how you coped.

  • They gave me 20 therapy sessions and up to six consultations with a psychiatrist, which seemed a lot after the NHS offered 6 CBT sessions.

The problem is my health insurance explicitly states it doesn’t cover treatment for autism. I started therapy my diagnosis but I think if I told them autism was the reason for requesting more then they’d say no.
