Affects of stress and anxiety ASD

Hi everyone I hope all are well.

For a few years now I've often wondered what long-term health implications could arise from some or all of us with an ASD diagnosis?

I have often measured my blood pressure since my early 20's for the last 2 decades as it is a bit of an obsession of mine as I care deeply about my health.  I have read up on how the body can produce the adrenaline hormone during stressful situations, something we can experience a lot of during the day being autistic and some more than others, some maybe not at all.

It leads me to think about whether or not the way our brain and thought process operates does this mean we could be at a higher risk of long term health conditions?

For example, I will do my blood pressure reading at home and it will be within the normal limit. But there have been many occasions when I go to the doctors and my anxiety goes through the roof that it shoots right up to the point that I've had doctors asking if I have any chest pain or feel well (heart attack readings very high).

With the different fluctuations in different situations it has always worried me even though my own GP says it's normal to go up and down through the day so no need for medication.

I don't want to worry anyone it's just a genuine question and if anyone has any links that I can read on any studies I would find it interesting.
