So an update on psychiatric situation …
I took legal advice and it is imperative to get the bipolar diagnosis removed/overturned, particularly in view of potential future issues around capability and LPAs (Lasting power of attorney (both financial and health)). I then emailed my local mental health team again with a formal Subject Access Request (SAR) and it’s suddenly a case of them responding, the legal advice has focused their minds. As well as the SAR they are raising my request for the removal of the bipolar dx at the MDT (Multi disciplinary team) next week. I made clear my rights under the GDPR and that nothing was to be withheld on the grounds of safety. It is absolutely the ASC diagnosis which had shed light and made this process possible
