Stuffed up nose, crying, can't breathe!

I don't suppose anyone has any advice on how to cry without getting a blocked nose? I absolutely hate having a blocked nose and having to breathe through my mouth but it happens any time I cry so I end up getting upset about not being able to breathe as well as whatever made me cry! It's horrible!

My cat probably has cancer. I want and need to be able to cry about it, but I want to just shed tears, not snot! I might try sudafed?

  • Thanks for the replies and help, everyone, I really appreciate it, sorry I'm not up to responding to each individually.

    The sudafed tablet, pseudephidrine, helped a bit. I still got snotted up but it cleared faster than without. But the sudafed nasal spray is way better. I didn't want to use that this afternoon as it lasts 10hrs and I knew I'd need it to sleep. But it's late enough now that I used it and now I can cry and still breathe! So I might need that again tomorrow...
