Thinking hard about dropping out

Has anyone thought about dropping out of society, I’m considering disappearing to try an live a simple life. 
How would somebody disappear in the modern world? 
what steps would you need to take make it successful?

  • It’s mostly a question of money. If you have enough you could buy a house in the middle of nowhere, have everything you need delivered. Weather you could cope with it psycologicaly I don’t know but with enough money near total withdrawal from society is very doable. So long as you pay your bills and taxes online few will bother you.
