Mental support inside and outside of the work place

Hey,

I'm a bit new to this forum stuff so bear with me.

Over the past year, I transitioned between jobs in the animal industry, going from an Assistant Manager in one position to a Kennel Assistant in another. This alone was quite a change with having to not deal with as much responsibility but also feeling like I had to uphold the responsibilities from my previous work. In addition, management above me was being shuffled around endlessly which made it hard for me to fully understand who I could approach if I had any worries or concerns while at work. This wasn't helped either when there was miscommunication about who my mentor was and for most of the time that I was there, not having one, meaning I had to struggle through these alterations, along with 3 hour daily commutes to get there and many other factors.

As a result I had to leave that job because it proved too much for me overall with so many changes in a short space of time without everything being clearly explained to me at the workplace.

Having this experience made me think that perhaps having a life coach who understands autism and the traits that come along with it might be beneficial if I was to face a similar situation in the future. Are there any such contacts/links available and if so, where would I find them? I've already checked the website and there isn't anything within 20 miles of where I live.

This support is very important considering how people on the spectrum can get support in school but when they enter the working world, it won't be 100% the same type of support they received during their academic years. If these contacts can be made clear or the people who need it are aware of their existence then it would benefit many who can't necessarily speak up as easily.
