This afternoon, I went to see my Artist Friend. He had an issue with his landline phone; he can hear the recipients, but the recipients couldn't hear him. In the end, I took him to Tesco to buy a new phone.
Dealt with drivers in a rush; while I was getting to a shop for diesel. And a Naff Personalised Number Plate; spelling the owner's name. And then taking a detour to avoid roadworks, only to be held back by a tractor heading to cut hedges.
I'm home, okay, but need to settle.
Now I've got that song in my head....
Is there such a thing as a bot toad? All the hallmarks seem to be here I feel?
...their brains are squirming like a toad
'Defensive driving' is a good term to keep in mind at all time. As is 'funnel, not tunnel' for scanning for danger ahead.
Lots of muppets about. I always expect people to do something stupid and it keeps me safe. I just imagine everyone cant drive and hang back waiting for them to do what i expect.....
I then had a short time window from a Zoom conference, to Monday evening Mass and a Skype conference.
Thank God I slow cooked Chicken earlier today. I used that, with Mayflower sauce and the rest of my rice, for Dinner.
That sounded a stressful day with lots of unwanted hassle. Glad you're back home again, try to chill now and enjoy your evening.
All the best x
Melters - love it, such a very Northern Ireland way to put that! Sounds stressful though, glad you're feeling more settled now.
