So just got over having covid, but now I seem to be more anxious about being in public spaces than prior to getting it.
Has anyone else had this?

I can completely understand how you're feeling! I have clinically vulnerable family so the pandemic has been extremely difficult for me to process/navigate as I was already socially anxious but this added a whole new fear into the mix. I caught covid a few months ago and it has terrified me even more as I most definitely don't want to catch it again and am afraid of catching and spreading it unknowingly.
The only thing that slightly reassures me is that I still wear my mask when out in public, keep a hand sanitiser in my bag, wash my hands regularly and thoroughly, stay distanced from others and open windows where possible for ventilation, lessening my risk of catching it again!
I think this is a natural response. You just had Covid and your probably not wanting it again so you'll feel more anxious in public, I would as well. A few years ago I got a stomach bug, was so sick for about a week, after I was so anxious I avoided public spaces and large gatherings for months.
Avoiding the things that make us anxious can sometimes feel like the easier option in the short term, but this can make it harder to start facing our fears in the longer term.
Instead, try to set yourself small but manageable targets. Start with activities that are important to you and feel achievable – like meeting close friends and family for a coffee or snack outside – and gradually build up from there.
It can help to confide in a friend or family member so they can support you to overcome your anxieties.
I can completely understand that. It's another layer of anxiety for you, As you have experienced what it is like to have Covid, it makes sense to me that you would not want to put yourself in a situation that could result in you contracting it again.
For what it's worth, I often think 'normal' is overrated.
That is probably the only normal thing about me
Have always been anxious in large crowds, but this is not the same it's like added pressure
All things considered, I think your Covid anxiety is perfectly normal.
I have not (as far as I know) had Covid myself, but since the restrictions were eased I have felt considerably more anxious about venturing outdoors in public spaces.
