I think a lot of people are feeling that way not just autistic people. For me I find it strangely fascinating. a bit like they say watching a car crash is. Like you just can't look away. I often wondered what I'd do if there was a world war. Would I want to fight, I've always had pacifist leanings when it comes to lethal action but I hate bullies. Would I try to find a way to serve my country? I don't know. It's seeming less hypothetical now though.
