Ruby Wax

I've been getting into Ruby Wax. I think her stuff on mental health is really accessible. Its not aimed specifically at autistic people, moreover it's relevant for anyone and everyone regardless of their neurological make up. This is what I like about her.  I really recommend this video...

  • Her episode of 'Who Do You Think You Are?' made me cry; not just in her family back ground in the Holocaust, but in her family history of mental illness also and the way she responded to it. Fabulous woman!

  • I haven't seen it yet but I'll give it a go! Yes she is fantastic. It's interesting how she talks about "the human condition". The video above - in that hour of watching it has helped me far more than the "CBT" I'm doing at the moment. She talks with a Neuroscientist and a buddhist monk. I love how it brings science and philosophy/religion together although I see Buddhism more as a way of life than a religion.

If you dont watch it all, just go to 12 minutes in and just watch about two minutes of it. We are conditioned to see the negative when there's positive all around us.
