Mental health problems

I'm having a few mental health problems and even though I'm on medication they aren't going away. I mask a lot but I feel overwhelmed by it and it feels like it's getting bigger and worse. Last year I was sectioned and the mental health team want to see me in two weeks and I'm afraid they'll section me again if I meet with them because when I do I get voices and thoughts and do and say bad things.

Any advice on what I can do?

  • Hiya. Anything you want to talk about? I’m new.. I do silly things..

if you was going to get sectioned, they would of done it by now. What you say and how you present what you’re saying is going to make this decision. In my experience is very difficult to be sectioned, I’ve been placed in respite recently and had a psychosis assessment. They just thrown me back in with the lions. Just worse off than before I was suicidal.. just with endless supply of diazepam.

    sorry to ramble on

  • Hi ChloeMod,

Thanks for the links and the advice. I've heard of 111 before but thought that was only in a life emergency, but it's good to know I can get in touch if I need to. I'm not really very close with my GP now, it's sort of her fault I got sectioned, so I feel like the trust is gone now. But I do have a mental health team I can reach out to if I really need help ASAP.

The suicidal thoughts can be really distressing but usually I'm able to cope with them. But if they get to much I can call my team or I can phone 111 as you suggested. Thanks for that!

Thanks for the Mind link. I'll check that out because I do self harm so any tips with that would be really helpful. And if it can help with the suicidal thoughts as well then that would be good.

If it came to it I'd have to call 999 as currently I can't get to A&E. I can drive but they have temporarily taken my license because of the voices and thoughts. But I should get it back again soon.

    Thanks for your help Chloe.
