Different between sensory issues and an eating disorder?

I've been thinking recently about my relationship with food. I rely on my safe foods a lot, though I know eating them constantly would be unhealthy for me so I end up not really eating much at all, maybe 1-2 small meals a day. I've tried eating healthier, though the tezture and overall sensation just makes me feel sick so I can't eat many healthier foods.

I am also quite unhappy with my weight, and though I don't actively try losing weight, I notice myself not really minding that I don't eat a lot because of that. I'm not exactly sure where the line is between me struggling with certain textures and choosing not to overcome that due to my issues with my weight,

Thank you, and please let me know if this doesn't fit here.

i'm similar to you - although i intermittent fast.  so u no it's important to eat a variety of healthy foods. i think you should really try to find more of which ones you like, and eat them.

for instance, i just bought some asparagus. it was sub par, and when i walked by the stalks in my kitchen, i felt disgusted by them.  however, cooked in butter, it was perfectly fine. steaming sub par asparagus (or any veggie) will dilute the flavor, in this case rendering them tasting like ****.

i buy the best butter i can, btw. good high quality food simply tastes better, and it should cost substantially more.

fruit - i tolerate them on their own, but chopped up, with dates, raw nuts --- and most important, heavy cream? it's heavenly. leave out the cream - i guess i could force myself to eat that ****.

so, really, try to broaden your horizons, even if they never get that broad.
