Hi all. My son Freddie has just turned 4 and has been diagnosed with as ASD recently, 2 weeks before starting primary school. I've joined this forum to try to see what help and support we have can get for him. It's been a mad few weeks but just starting to get my head around it. Any pushes into the right direction would be greatly appreciated... :)

You may want to start by looking around the NAS website, particaularly pages on advice for parents, relatives and carers of people with autism:http://www.autism.org.uk/living-with-autism/parents-relatives-and-carers.aspx
You can also search for services in your area on the Autism Services Directory:
www.autismdirectory.org.uk This includes services such as: support groups, social groups, advocacy, befriending, residential settings, outreach and respite.
