Hi, i'm Tracy.I have 5 children age 27,24,16,12 and 10yrs.my youngest has downs syndrome,adhd and autism.Quite a combination isn't it.His behaviour is extremely challenging to say the least.It would be nice to be involved in conversations with people who have at least some idea of what its like coping with such a challenging child.Although he has downs syndrome its probably the adhd and autism that is the most challenging although having learning dissabilities makes it all the more harder to get through to him.This said he is a wonderful beatifull little boy whome we all love immensly.Hope to chat soon.
Thanks for reply Tracey.nice to hear from someone in a similar situation to my own.downs syndrome can be challenging so having adhd and autism makes it alot more challenging.my son has only recently been diagnosed with the autism.i have all this time assumed his behaviour and other issues were just down to the ds.i'm now learning more about autism.thanks.
hi tracy, my name is tracey and i have 6 children of similar ages to your own. my son dion is 14 and also has downs syndrome and autism. i know what challenges you are facing and how difficult it is. i put a post up on here earlier about the problems i have been having since my son was restrained at school. i also dont really see the downs syndrome in my son i think the autism sort of takes over. would love to chat and as you said with people that have similar problems and understand.
