Hello

Just joined this site as it would be helpful to talk to other people who have experience of autism. 

I grew up with my brother who is now 27 years old and has ASD, severe LD and XYY syndrome. He now lives in supported accommodation near my parents and has an active life thanks to good carers.

My son who is 3 years old is currently in the process of an autism diagnosis. He has no speech, various autistic mannerisms such as flapping and toe walking, challenging behaviour and issues getting to sleep at night which he has been prescribed melatonin for. 

Obviously my parents and I have experienced this before but it would  e good to have some support from people in a similar boat.
