Hi
I am a 46 year old firefighter who believes i have Aspbergers. Should i seek a diagnoses?
Get on with it?
I would start with a couple of questions:
(1) What makes you believe you have Asperger's?
(2) What do you think would change if you have a diagnosis?
I'm asking because, if you elaborate on this, it might help you figure out whether or not it would be useful in your situation to seek a diagnosis.
I was diagnosed about 15 years ago with Asperger's syndrome. Now, they think I might have borderline personality disorder. My emotions change in the blink of an eye. I find it hard for anybody to understand. Are these emotions "normal" for either of these conditions?? Thank you.
I'm not that young either - only just being dianosed officially now at the age of 36, as skepticalbarry - what've you got to lose? Give it a try :-)
im only 20 but i can honestly say being diagnosed with ASD has been a real eye opener, what have you got to lose? you might discover some new things you didnt know about yourself
