just joined have a son who has been homeschooled since primary and has been reintergrated in a special school for past year.
i am also very socially anxious and suffer depression/anxiety and fibromyalgia so we plod on with my 2 older daughters who are at college and uni.
would there be any benefits to me i wonder getting a diagnosis or going through the dread of more drs appointments.

It is quite possible that both you and your son are on the autistic spectrum as the condition is highly genetic in origin. Anxiety and depression are extremely common in undiagnosed autism but obviously there are other causes of these issues too.
