Hi all, newbie here, I just got the call after years of waiting to say my daughter is on the spectrum ans is a level 2! Very relieived and saddened at the same time, the school didn't believe me, so this is quite a moment for us. My daughter is not accepting the diagnosis though
Hi all,
In regard to diagnosis, if you are struggling and would like more information or access to support, then the team who are best equipped to help you would be our Autism Helpline. You can call them on 0808 800 4104 (Monday to Thursday 10am to 4pm, Friday 9am to 3pm), although please note that the Helpline is experiencing increasingly high demand, and you may not reach them straight away.

Hi there my 13 year old son has recently been diagnosed with ASD , we have been waiting for this diagnosis for a few years now but it has hit me like a tonne of bricks and I can't accept this , all I do is cry and get very upset thinking about what his futures going to b like
Girls can often seem to hide it well as there can be gender issues relating to Autism. Girls generaly have better social skills than boys. I was lucky, my daughter was diagnosed at the age of 4yrs. shes 6 now and non verbal.
Hi, she is 10 years, i thought she had aspergers, but hides it well, was suprised to see her come in as a level 2
hello willow1617,
if you dont mind me asking how old is your daughter? I take it shes higher functioning?
