Starting new thread (response to Akuaku)

I thought I would make this a separate , so it doesn't detract from the original poster in the thread where this question was raised.

To start a new thread you click/tap on the text 'Start new discussion'. Within the specific part of the discussion forum that you want to post you will find this below the heading and description (and above the list of threads). For example, in this section:

Introduce yourself
A place to say hello to the other members of the community
Start new discussion
I am not certain why duplicate posts appear. I think it is partly because it is not always clear whether a post has been successful, so people try repeatedly.
I would suggest replying to the most recent of any duplicated posts, because replies  bring that particular post up the list so that will generally keep ask the discussion on that topic in one thread (unless more than one person is composing a reply at the same time as a duplicate is being generated).

    Get to "Start New Discussion" as follows.  

    Click on "Discussion Forum".

    Then click on the appropriate classification for the new thread.   

    Then click on "Start New Discussion" immediately above the red ribbon.
