hi my daughter age 7 as just been diagnosed with autism and feeling abit lost. I've also have another daughter who 20yr whose also autistic and she was diagnosed at the age of 2 things have progressed for the better. My youngest daughter is in mainstream school and loves going which is a relief. She does finds her subjects really hard and she doesn't have a one to one. I've spoke to the school SENCO briefly as she had to go to a meeting and I had to make an appointment next week to speak to her. She explained very briefly that It can be hard to get funding for one to one and they dont have statements anymore can some shed some light on this plz thank you
Hello my son is 6 and was diagnosed yesterday with mild autism. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders as im his mum and has known for years something wasnt quite right.
Statements have been replace with Education Health and Care plans (EHC Plans) and a good place to start is the IPSEA website that is there to help people in your situation get the right help for your child https://www.ipsea.org.uk/
