My daughter in 16 and has been diagnosed for about a year. She insisted on leaving school at the end of year 10 and is now at an internet school. She prefers it but she has become practically reclusive. She has OCD in the form of intrusive thoughts which she agrees isolating herself makes worse.
Mine is 15. I am tied between finding a new school, taking mine out of school or demanding more and more to the school she at. They seems to think they are dealing with her, but as female autistics mask their emotions they have no clue what the are talking about.
I worry I'm not doing the right thing by her and she too is depressed aggressive and confused. It's a scary place to be.
Me too, mine is 16 and has only been diagnosed with Asperger's a few months ago. Struggles with anxiety, depression, is not in school, has no friends her age-I spend alot of time with her which can be very intense.
