Hints and tips

To quote someone's message, first select/highlight the relevant text, and then use the Quote button that appears
To "mention" someone, type @ followed by the start of the forum name, and choose from the list; that person will get a notification of being mentioned

Recent diagnosis

Hi!
My name is katie i am 22 years old and i have a little girl called Evie Mae who was just yesterday diagnosed with ASD she is 3 years old.
I don't know anybody else around my area with children who have ASD or have anyone that can relate to anything i am going through.
It would be nice to get to know some people and just have people who i can chat to about things.
look forward to hearing from some of you

Welcome to the forum. Have you seen the parent to parent helpline http://www.autism.org.uk/services/community/family-support/parent-to-parent.aspx ?
That might be a good place to start. There are local parent groups in some areas http://www.autism.org.uk/services/local.aspx
Otherwise, feel free to take part in the online forum here. There is a mixture of adults with autism/Aspergers and parents (some people are in both categories)
