Hello,
I just want to say hi to you all and that I'm glad to be part of this community. I know that only good will come of it for both me and my little boy. It's getting to the point where big decisions have to be made regarding his future education and well-being and instead of making uninformed or kneejerk choices, I want to do what is best for his future. I also want to help others if I can.... That's about it really. I look forward to to chatting with you all.

If i'm being honest, I have had my head in the sand about the whole thing for the past few years, hoping that the situation would rectify itself through school, resource teachers and his SNA. I now realise that I have to face this head on and grapple the complexities in a pragmatic and loving way. I work very hard with my kids and provide them with a lot of love and fun but now, it's time that I do more for my boy. I can do little about my previous inaction but I can do more now for his future and that, above all, is what I want.
