Newbie

welcome steph.  i too was diagnosed with aspergers last year, however i am 45!  i kind of fell through the gaps.  all i  can say from an aspie point of view is that the more i am pushed into doing something i am uncomfortalble with, the worse this can make me.  perhaps a reward system for attending instead of punishment?  do you know what it is about going to school your son most dislikes?  i hope he isnt bullied.  i realise that your son probably finds it difficult communicating his emotions, i still do, so this makes helping him awkward.  are you getting any support from your school, do they know.

i dont know if any of this helps.  im afraid i cant give a quick fix answer, there are not any.  but i do know as long as he is loved and cared for, he will be ok.  patience is the key word here.
