Recently Diagnosed Adult

Hi,

I have not received the full report yet, but my ASD (Aspergers) diagnosis has been confirmed a week ago. I was expecting that, made the first steps to get a diagnosis around last October, ten months ago.

Mixed feelings at the moment, I am 49 year old adult male, and feel the diagnosis could have made a big difference if it had been detected in my younger years.

I have been able to work since I had my first job offer just before my 16th Birthday, but have been struggling at work in recent years. I have not been able to establish any close friendships or relationships.

    Welcome to the forum. There are lots of us here like you. I have found much help and support here. If you have any specific issues, you can search for previous posts, or just ask. there is usually someone with similar experiences who will have strategies for coping.
