Can anyone advise please? My autistic daughter Emma,43, has lived in the same care home with 24/7 care and support for 22 years. She has spent a long weekend with us every month. Her mother has diagnosed dementia which causes her to have delusions. One is that we have moved within the last few weeks to our home of 18 years to which Emma has visited on numerous occasions. Mum keeps telling Emma about our "new" house which causes Emma significant anxiety and distress. How can I reassure Emma everything is the same but still follow Dementia advice not to challenge mum's delusions?
