Hello I'm new

Hello I'm 54, female, and was diagnosed a week and a half ago. 

Going through a rough time generally - not to do with the diagnosis - and could do with some friends.

Life has been hard to navigate. I masked as best I could all my life. But friendships and family and work have been difficult. I have burnt out many times. I have pretty severe depression. I'm very isolated and lonely.

I have just lost my job and really don't have the energy to get back into jobsearching yet again.

    I am in my early 70s, male and only diagnosed this year.

    So, I am new here too and find the people very understanding and the forum a comfortable and safe place to be. 

    It is clear that you are not in the best of places at the moment. I can really can empathise with life being hard to navigate; friendships, family and work being fraught; and depression and walking out of jobs.  Just getting too worn out coping with all the "juggling" required. Even an autism diagnosis doesn't always come with a bunch of roses and a box of chocolates.     

    I hope you will find people here understanding. I would recommend reading some of the messages and perhaps investigate the wealth of information provided by the society.
