Hello, I'm new here!

Hi everyone,

I am 46 years old and was diagnosed with ASD level 1 four weeks ago. I am still learning a lot about myself, but I am glad that I have a diagnosis. Many things in my life suddenly make sense and I finally know what I am working with. I look forward to interacting with many wonderful people in this community.

  • Hello and welcome,

I am in my 70s and was diagnosed this year. It has taken me several months to feel comfortable and at home in my new autistic "clothes". It now feels like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.  The general guidance is to take things slowly and be kind to yourself.

This is a sound place to visit, well moderated and with a big mix of people of all ages, backgrounds, etc. some with an assessment, some self-assessment, some waiting.

I hope you too enjoy your stay.

  • Welcome.

You'll find lots of friendly people here who will help as you find your way on this journey of ours.

I was diagnosed a couple of months ago at the age of 69, and spent a little time being introspective and a little sad, which was odd, as I had suspected I was autistic for some years.  Suspicion and confirmation are two entirely different things, at least for me.  Grinning
