Hey everyone, I'm new to this platform!!

So uhhh, I'm wondering if there is a place where I can find local friends who are open-minded, in their 20s and are into art like me.

I genuinely need to get out of my apartment to prevent isolating myself and get better at socialising while I eventually reach out to a professional that fit my specific needs, before I mentally go insane. That's my main reason I joined this community, just to meet new people besides having a look through this platform.

By the way, I make content. Including general art, animations (2D and 3D), concept work and mixed media if you wanna get to know me more! :P

Here's my namesake sona, also ~

  • Hello friend!

Welcome. I'm a big fan of art, especially that picture in your post (did you make that? It looks awesome!). This forum's kinda scattered everywhere, unfortunately, and I'm not even based in the UK, so you'll have to ask other people for local recommendations, but I've found a good way to get out is finding activities you already like doing in environments you find relaxing. For me, this is running: outside, physical activity chosen, fits with my dyspraxia and lack of coordination. There's definitely art groups where people can nerd out about art and media and other fan related stuff, as well as workshops to do art side by side with people.

  • Hello

Welcome to the NAS community! I am sure that you'll find plenty of people around here who you'll share interests with around here, we’ve a fantastic community - wonderful artwork by the way, I really like the definition of your lines, it'll be great to see more of your work posted,

You certainly deserve reason to get out of your flat and find social opportunities. As you say, it's very important for our mental health.

I wonder if any of the following NAS approved resources might prove useful?

Autism Services Directory - A list of services based around the UK.

Branches - A list of NAS branches located around the UK.

Once again, welcome to the NAS community, it's lovely to have you here.

    Take care - Zac Mod.
