Thought i'd best introduce myself (even though I joined here months ago and just forgot to ever post), I'm Alastair, 45 from Derbyshire, UK and as yet diagnosed formally as autistic though am on a wait list for an assessment via my local NHS trust (4 years and counting). Definitely a geek, big into PC gaming and all things Discworld!

I'm a geek but not a gamer! Does that get my autism membership revoked? :-)
But seriously, I've never had an interest in games, apart from card games (I am that old!), but I can usually figure out why my PC or network has decided today is not the day it will play nice! Well, eventually I can. 
Likewise, Mr. Pratchet? I've picked up a book or two of his over the years but could never find my way into them, and I know it's my loss; I simply don't 'get it'. 
All that said, it's a jolly good thing to be different I think.
