Hello!

Hi there,

my partner and I have been together for 14 years, he was diagnosed with Autism in March this year (2026).

We have had many good times together, but we also struggle with a few things, communication being the biggest challenge.

I had a look on the National Autistic Society website to see if I could find some sort of support for both of us and came across this community. I thought it would be a good opportunity to learn from other people's experiences and to find out more about neurodiversity.

I'm not sure how much I will post yet but I thought I should introduce myself just in case I do.

All the best

  • Hello and welcome,

I am new here too and also received my autism assessment in March!

There is a lot of information in the messages people have left. There is a useful search engine. Also, you can simply leave a message outlining a problem. It is likely someone will have some experiences to share.

The site is very friendly and supportive and I hope you enjoy your stay.
