Hi my names Sally, I'm new here and was diagnosed with autism this year. I've also been diagnosed with generalised anxiety disorder. I'm hoping joining this community will help me with my autism as I struggle a lot with day-to-day life.
I have a lot of different interests like with music, animals and nature, writing and reading.

Therapy or counselling are often recommended after diagnosis, as a follow up action for our GPs to arrange. Or, if you prefer, and depending on where you are in the UK, you might instead be able to self refer for talking therapy.
Before arranging anything you might find it helpful to borrow or buy this book. It discusses various types of therapy and counselling, and offers advice on choosing the right therapist or counsellor - all from an autistic person's viewpoint. Several of us here have found it very helpful:
